Matsuri

JAPANESE MATSURI

There are countless local festivals (matsuri) in Japan . Most festivals are held annually and celebrate a seasonal or historical event. Some festival are held over several days .

Many festivals also feature decorated floats (dashi), which are pulled through the town, accompanied by drum and flute music by the people sitting on the floats. Every festival has its own characteristics. While some festivals are calm and meditative, many are energetic and noisy.

Some of these matsuri:

Sapporo Snow Festival:

Takayama Matsuri
Sanja Matsuri

Kanto Matsuri

Kotatsu

NIHON NO KOTATSU

A kotatsu (炬燵) is a low, wooden table frame covered by a futon, or heavy blanket, upon which a table top sits. Underneath is a heat source, often built into the table itself. Kotatsu are used almost exclusively in Japan, although similar devices are used elsewhere.

CROCHET

Konnichiwa mina san
Ohisashiburi desu^^

Ogenki desu ka ??
I'm very sorry for keeping you without any updates for a long time
The new academic year already started
I wish you all the best …..
Today I'll tell you about a very common hobby between the sakura members and the UAEU girls
It's the crochet
First I'll explain the crochet in general
It is a process of creating fabric from yarn, thread, or other material strands using a crochet hook.
There are a lot of crochet learning sessions and these sessions make the girls interested in learning crochet
I'm also one of the crochet learners and I really enjoy doing it
These samples are done by  one of our creative members in sakura club

Waiting for your comments ^^

Ramen ( Japanese Noodles )

Have you ever tasted  Japanese food ? , I think that your answer will be "yes Sushi" …
From today I need from you to remember this traditional food which called " Ramen "
Ramen (ラーメン) is a Japanese noodle dish. It consists of Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat- or fish-based broth, often flavored with soy sauce or miso, and uses toppings such as sliced meat , dried seaweed (海苔, nori), kamaboko, green onions, and occasionally corn. Almost every locality in Japan has its own variation of ramen, from the Kyūshū's ramen to the of Hokkaidō's ramen .

Akemashite Omedeto Gozaimasu :)

Happy New Year.

In Japan, people call the New Year Oshōgatsu. Japanese people pay a lot of attention to this annual event. They prepare Osechi food for it. They hope to have good luck in various areas of life in the new year. People visit their families and some temples and shrines.
